Duffy barely misses podium in Texas
She crossed the line in two hours and 18 seconds in the ITU PATCO Pan American Championship, an event that featured some of the best triathletes from this region.
Duffy missed the podium by a scant 10 seconds and was just 37 seconds behind winner Adriana Barraza of Mexico.
Bermuda's next generation of triathletes, Tyler Smith and Erica Hawley, were also competing in Texas, but in the 16 to 19 age category.
Smith was 44th and Hawley 39th.
