The Tiki-Taka Futsal Clinic, hosted by Nacho Garrido from Spain, concluded this past Sunday May 25 at The Bermuda College Gymnasium.

More than 50 players (boys and girls) took part in the Futsal Clinic which focused on passing, possession and movement.

The Futsal Clinic was under the direction of Nacho Garrido (ex-professional futsal player). Nacho is also director and advisor of several Futsal Stages throughout France, Croatia and Spain and an occasional advisor to the England Futsal National Team. He is also Head Coach of C.D. Murcia Cadete Futsal Team (Spain) and The Champions of the Spanish Regional Championships Murcia Under-17 Women Team (Spain).

Nacho Garrido also hosted a futsal coach’s clinic at the Mount Saint Agnes Gymnasium in which he made a presentation on how futsal influences the outdoor football game and players. He also, walked through a few futsal drills that could be used to help develop players at their respective clubs.

Nacho Garrido said in a press release: “It was a great experience with the clinic and I was very surprised positively with the work made in the last two years by Footy Force and Footy Promotions, the two age groups worked hard and with a very good attitude, especially the younger ones.

“I was very happy with their level and passion for the game. It is very grateful for me to see how futsal is developing in Bermuda among young people and also among girls. I would like to give a big thank you to Footy Promotions and the coaching staff, The Bermuda Youth, Sport and Recreation Department and also to The Bermuda Futsal Federation.”

“Regarding the country, it was a great pleasure for me to know this fantastic and beautiful land.  It is really a paradise but I would like to do a special mention to the PEOPLE, happy, polite, kind, nice, spectacular people, making me feel like at home. THANKS, I really hope to come back to Bermuda and of course I encourage you to keep playing and loving FUTSAL.”
