Helping hand: The Argus Group announced it has made a donation to PRIDE Bermuda to expand the PATHS initiative as part of the Student Assistance Programme.
PRIDE Bermuda offers the Student Assistance Programme in public schools across the island. It covers life skills, social skills, drug information and how to deal with peer pressure. The PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) Programme enhances social and emotional skills for students from ages 5 to 10 that include anger management, problem solving and fostering good relationships. With the rise of grief and death in our community, PATHS helps students build basic coping skills. The programme was first launched at Northlands Primary School. The Argus donation enables PRIDE to offer PATHS at Elliott Primary School.
