Nahki Wells’ recent form was hailed by team-mate Oscar Gobern after the Bermudian netted again in the 1-1 draw against Reading on Saturday.
After a lean spell as he settled into life as Huddersfield Town’s record signing, Wells has scored three in the past four games, taking his tally to five in 15 appearances for the Terriers.
Wells burst clear of the defence before slotting past Royals keeper Alex McCarthy in the fourth minute, only for the home team to level the game through a Pavel Pogrebnyak penalty just three minutes later.
Town midfielder Gobern, who himself impressed at the Madejski Stadium , talked up the striker’s improved form.
"Nahki works really hard in training and even though he had a spell without a goal after his two early ones, you can see now that he has a real eye for goal," Gobern told the club's official website.
"His work really helps the team too. Alongside James Vaughan, we arguably have two of the best strikers in the Championship."
Despite their improved performances, Huddersfield are without a win in six league games and currently occupy 16th place in the Championship table.
