Nahki Wells curled in a superb goal for Huddersfield Town last night, only for Middlesbrough to peg them back at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Adam Hammill gave Town the lead in the first half but Boro’s Albert Adomah soon equalized.

With 11 minutes to go before the break the ball was played in to Bermudian striker Wells, who expertly found the upright from 25 yards.

But the Terriers were punished for more sloppy play in the second half and Adomah again took advantage to fire home and earn a 2-2 draw for the visitors.

Well was taken off with 15 minutes to go but earned the praise of his manager Mark Robins.

“Nahki Wells is an outstanding player and his goal was brilliant,” said Robins. He added: “Boro are a good side and they pressed us well; there was an anxious feeling around the place. It was a decent game of football, but we gifted them two goals.”
