Double tragedy: Families told autopsy results
The families of a couple found dead in their home have been told how their loved ones died.
But the results of the forensic autopsies conducted on both bodies will not be made public.
Yesterday police revealed they were not looking for suspects in connection with the deaths of Regina and Anthony Robinson.
But detectives would not elaborate on any of the circumstances surrounding the tragic demise of the couple.
Earlier this week, police confirmed that a sequence of murder-suicide was one line of inquiry.
Yesterday Acting Superintendent Nick Pedro said: “This has been an extremely traumatic experience for everyone involved, especially the children, parents, other family members and friends left behind to grieve their sudden and untimely loss.
“The forensic autopsies have been conducted on Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, and the investigative process is continuing.
“The initial conclusions of the forensic pathologist have been received by Police, and detectives are not currently seeking any suspects in respect of their deaths.
“The families of both victims have been seen by the investigating officers with their assigned family liaison officers and they have been informed of the findings of the forensic pathologist.”
A family member discovered the bodies of Mr Robinson, 49, and Mrs Robinson, 48, in their Wellington Slip Road home on Monday afternoon.
The couple, who had been married for nearly six years, had suffered what were described by detectives as ‘acute wounds’.
DCI Pedro added: “We continue to appeal for persons who may have information regarding their movements in the 24 hours leading up to their deaths in the early morning hours of Monday 10th March, 2014.
No further comment
“There will be no further comment from the Bermuda Police Service in respect of this matter, unless the continuing investigations warrant the release of information to the
public and the media respectively.
