PHC missed the chance to wrap-up the Women’s Futsal League championship on Saturday after being held to a 4-4 draw by SCC.
Jessica Furtado and Aaliyah Nolan both notched braces but a hat-trick from Shauntae Todd and a strike from Sierra Fisher denied them the win they needed.
PHC were put under pressure throughout the game and were thankful for the returning Nolan, who had been out with injury.
Furtado was MVP for PHC, while Todd took the award for SCC.
In other games, Dandy Stars stormed to a 7-3 win over Footy Force Stars.
On target for Stars was Rayni Maybury (4), Kyla Ramatar (2), Cleshaunay Darrell-Virgil, while for Force, Leah Smith, Zahra Gibbons and LeiLanni Nesbeth all bagged one each.
In an entertaining game, Dandy Stars showed their experience to pull away and seal the win. Stars are still in with a mathematical chance of winning the league if PHC lose both of their remaining matches, one of which is against Stars next week.
Rayni Maybury, returning from college, was outstanding for Dandy Stars, while Samuels was the MVP for Force.
In the remaining game, HPWC overcame YMSC 5-1 thanks to four goals from Kaelah Ming and one from Juliette Basden.
Kyanne Scott-Fishenden scored the sole reply for YMSC.
Ming was outstanding for HPWC, while Zekiah Lewis was named MVP for YMSC after a fine display in defence.
Games start at 5pm on Saturday at Warwick Academy Gym.
