Spa review: Four-hand massage helped to ease the tension

A trip to the spa is always a welcome experience, especially when there is a massage involved.

I am a huge fan of a massage with a good amount of pressure and imagine my joy when I found out about the four-hands massage offered at Tai Home Spa.

Here is the rundown. The four-hands massage is a type of treatment that involves two therapists working simultaneously, creating a choreographed massage.

That was enough to convince me to try it out. Before my massage, I relaxed for a bit in the steam room and the sauna.

My therapists were Wayan and Thip. I wasn’t really sure what to expect of the massage so I just closed my eyes and waited.

alleviated

Since there were two therapists working on me, I was able to relax quickly and my tense muscles were alleviated far quicker than in a normal massage.

At the beginning, one therapist was working on my upper back while the other massaged my feet. It was impossible to tell who was who even though I’ve been to Wayan a few times.

The biggest highlight of the massage was when the therapists were in sync. It was fabulous when Wayan and Thip were on either side of my body massaging the same area at the same time.

I personally love it when the therapist glides from my shoulders to my feet repeatedly and having that done at the same time on both sides was simply amazing.

I will say that some of the pressure was a bit too much for me but since I enjoy deep tissue massages, I wasn’t terribly bothered by it.

Another great thing about this massage is that it increases blood circulation and helps to quickly release stress from the body in a relatively short period of time with the two therapists working simultaneously.

The four hands massage is $169 for an hour and $249 for 90 minutes.
