Skipper Malachi Jones claimed six wickets and scored 36 not out as Willow Cuts romped to a six-wicket win over St George’s at Wellington Oval on Sunday.

Cuts bowled out their opponents for just 134 before knocking off the required runs in 19.5 overs.

Chris Douglas was the innings’ central figure, scoring a fine 68 not out.

Elsewhere in the Logic Premier League, St David’s beat Bailey’s Bay by five wickets. Bay scored 168 for nine off their allotted 50 overs but it wasn’t enough as St David’s chalked off the runs with more than 11 overs to spare. George O’Brien was St David’s main man, with three wickets and a clutch 61.

In the final Premier game of the weekend, Somerset lost to Cleveland by 85 runs.
