Building Blocks Academy is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who refers a child to the group and that child is successfully enrolled.
Owners of BBA appealed to the audience at a special graduating performance on Saturday night saying the members have shown huge support since the inception to share with Bermuda a campaign they have kicked off for summer. The crowd went wild when they heard about the offer and many have already come forth with people who are interested in touring the campus.
Building Blocks Academy hosted a successful dance production to a full house on Saturday night. The event was launched with its largest graduating group to date of 22 graduates.
The choreography, props, and video digital shorts had the entire crowd on their feet cheering, laughing and shedding tears of joy.
An intermission contest included an audience call to rap the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and a monetary gift was given to the winner.
The show included a tribute to Alvin Ailey and Michael Jackson. The music and dances boasted a wide range of genres that covered many generations.
The atmosphere heated up when the lights came on and the students were in a boxing ring in robes and gloves, dancing to Roar by Katy Perry.
According to BAA, comments came flooding in on Facebook about how impressed the audience was at the level of professionalism and the extent to which pre-schoolers were able to learn, memorize and perform on a huge stage the dances they learned.
Building Blocks Academy has a reputation for entertaining productions as well as an its academic programme including science, social studies, math, physics and Spanish. The performing art department includes Art, Dance, Drama and Music including Bermuda’s first ever pre-school Drum-Line. The academy will soon be offering tennis by a certified tennis coach. Teacher Chandra Maybury said: “it’s a thrilling time at BBA, the staff are the most hard-working and nurturing team most have ever come across and are educated in the areas they specialize in making BBA a Holistic Environment to foster a strong foundation for life-long learning.”
