At Bermuda Motors, we work hard to make sure we have the newest, coolest cars in stock for our customers.

We carry popular brands such as Kia, BMW, Fiat, Ford, Mini and Chery and Toyota.

Every so often we bring in completely new models for the Bermuda market. Many of these cars are already popular in South America, Europe and Asia and are perfect for Bermuda as well.

One brand new car we have recently introduced is the Ford Ecosport, which is a favourite in Brazil and is very similar to the Ford Fiesta. The EcoSport is a smart new breed of Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), making it big enough to fit all your sports gear, luggage and more, but for an affordable price. The car was developed as part of Ford’s global One Ford philosophy, created primarily for the South American market, but tweaked for global appeal. The ‘One Ford’ philosophy is the company’s business model to develop products customers want and value.

The Ecosport is compact on the outside and big on comfort and space in the inside. In fact, if you fold down the seats, you can fit a washing machine in the back.

The Ecosport is also easy on the environment, unlike other SUVs. The 1.5 litre EcoBoost engine uses up to 20 per cent less fuel and produces 15 per cent less CO2 emissions than a regular engine, but is just as powerful.

The Ford Ecosport excels when it comes to the driving experience. As with all other Fords, it has strong grip and direct steering that reacts swiftly to your inputs. With 200mm of ground clearance, meaning you can wade through 550 mm of water and higher all-round visibility, so that you can see better while driving, the EcoSport is ready for the road.

Standard features include keyless entry, remote locking, central locking, heated rear screen, alloy wheels, 60:40 seats, which create more space in the car, bluetooth, iPod, USB and Mp3 connections and more. Extras include Ford’s amazing voice-activated SYNC system for hands-free phone calls, texts, e—mails or playing music on your smartphone.

Another new model we have in stock is the 2014 Kia Soul, which has been popular in Bermuda since it launched in 2008. It’s a favourite because it has a lot of space, five doors, but it’s not a minivan or SUV. The distinctive boxy SUV styling and larger interior was designed for buyers who wanted to stand out from the crowd.

But it’s not just popular in Bermuda, the Soul has fans all around the world and since the end of 2008, more than 760,000 people have bought the car. In 2009, it became the first Kia car to ever receive the distinguished “red dot design award”, an international product design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany.

The new 2014 design is completely updated and focuses on design, driving dynamics and desirable features that transform one of Kia Motors America’s best-selling cars into an urban utility vehicle that is comfortable driving in Bermuda.

This year’s model is longer and wider, allowing more room for passengers and cargo. A flatter torque curve and significant suspension upgrades make the 2014 Soul a nimble and agile companion in congested urban environments.

Some of its features include alloy wheels, an iPod cable, a roof rack, electric folding mirrors, audio remote control on the leather steering wheel, key-less entry and more.

The Ford Ecosport starts at $35,000 and has a three-year warranty. The Kia Soul starts at $35,000 and comes with a five-year warranty covering the first 60 months or 60,000 miles. Both cars come in a variety of colours for you to choose from.
