This Friday, June 13th, the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is holding a movie night at Police Field in Prospect, Devonshire featuring the 2013 animated Disney film ‘Frozen’ and the 2014 police themed action comedy ‘Ride Along.’
The general public, especially the surrounding neighbourhoods of Cedar Park Road, Roberts Avenue and Alexandra Road are encouraged to attend this community event, which is one of several lead up activities in anticipation of Police Week 2014 in October.
Gates open at 7pm with the first movie, ‘Frozen’, starting at 8pm followed by ‘Ride Along.’ Children under 5 years old and Senior Citizens 65+ are free.
There is a minimal admission charge for walk-in patrons of $5. Vehicles can park on the field for $5 per motorcycle and $10 per car, which includes all passengers that can be safely and legally transported by each vehicle.
In addition to ensure the safety of all attendees, separate areas of the field have been allocated for parking vehicles and viewing the movies, as well as a ‘Kids’ Zone’ with inflatable ‘fun castles.’ Popcorn, cotton candy and soft drinks will also be on sale.
Part proceeds will go to the designated Bermuda Police Service charities for this year - the Women’s Resource Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda.
