Notice to Mariners: Annual Comet Race

The Director of the Department of Marine and Ports Services has issued the following  Notice to Mariners concerning the West End Sailboat Club’s Annual Comet Race:

The West End Sailboat Club will host the annual long distance comet sailboat race from St. Georges to Somerset on Monday June 16th, 2014.

The race will start at 11:00 a.m. in St. George’s Harbour and will end approximately 3 hours later in the Great Sound at Watford Island in Somerset.

Mariners are advised to give adequate clearance and minimal wake when in the vicinity of the racing comets.
