Sun closure: A sad day for Bermuda

Dear everyone,

The closing of the Bermuda Sun is a very sad day for Bermuda and for me personally.

I never missed buying a copy when home in Bermuda.

You were the extra voice for all Bermudians. Socially, culturally and politically.

You all should be very proud of your contribution to the life of all Bermudians.

It is, to me, a sad reflection on the modern systems of producing instant news online.

The cost of competing has caused the demise of the Mid-Ocean newspaper and now the Sun.

Best wishes for the future careers of all of you.
