The Bermuda Olympic Association (“BOA”) today announced the names of the athletes who will represent Bermuda at the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games being held in Nanjing, China from 16 August to 28 August 2014.
Seven (7) athletes will compete for Bermuda in four (4) sports:
Athletics:
? Faheemah (Kyrah) Scraders
? Jahnhai Perinchief
? Kionje Somner
Sailing:
? Cecilia Wollmann
Swimming:
? Jesse Washington
Triathlon:
? Erica Hawley
? Tyler E. Smith
The team will be supported by six (6) officials under the leadership of the Chef de Mission, Ms. Katura Horton-Perinchief.
Judy Simons, BOA President said, “The BOA is pleased to support and assist the seven young Bermudians who will represent our country at Nanjing. They are great ambassadors for Bermuda and, at the Games, they will have the opportunity not only to compete on the world stage, but to interact with young athletes from all over the globe.
