Willow Cuts beat Southampton Rangers by just three runs in a feisty encounter at Somerset Cricket Club.
Tempers threatened to spill overboard out in the middle after a confrontation between Cuts batsman Chris Douglas and Rangers skipper Dion Stovell.
But it came down to a fine catch by Dean Stevens to win the game for Cuts.
Cuts had made 157 and despite a 67 from Stovell, Rangers fell agonisingly short.
In other Logic Premier Division games, Bailey’s Bay overcame Cleveland by 24 runs.
Stephen Outerbridge, the former national team skipper, registered a half-century in Bay’s total of 173 in a match reduced to 34 overs because of the rain.
In reply, Cleveland could muster only 149, despite a rapid 48 off 27 balls from Allan Douglas Jr.
And finally, the east end derby was a one-sided affair, with champions St David’s hammering St George’s by 129 runs.
OJ Pitcher top scored for St David’s, who are top of the table, with 73, while Del Hollis was the main tormentor with the balls, claiming five wickets for 10 runs off 4.5 overs.
