Bradford City have turned down the latest bid for Bermuda's Nahki Wells.

It's the first offer for the £2m-plus rated striker in this January transfer and was an improvement on Peterborough's rejected bid — believed to be seven figures — in the summer.

While the identity of the latest bidder is unknown, the likes of QPR, Wolves, Huddersfield and Blackburn have all been linked with the former Dandy Town striker, who has continued his lethal form this season with 15 so far.

League One City also yesterday confirmed they have had interest from two Premier League clubs for their leading marksman.

The club's director of operations David Baldwin told the Telegraph & Argus: “We’ve had one formal bid for the player. It is improved on what Peterborough offered in the summer but it’s not where the club want to be.

“There will possibly be other offers. But when they occur, the club will act accordingly on the information we receive.

“We can’t do more than that. But from a football perspective, Nahki continues to go out there and hopefully carry on scoring goals.

“Unless we see any other offers coming through, which we feel are worth considering, Nahki remains very much a Bradford City player and part of our plans.”
