The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce will again host its Annual Budget Breakfast on Monday February 24th.

In making the announcement Chamber President Ronnie Viera noted: “We are pleased that the Minister of Finance, the Hon. E. T. (Bob) Richards, JP, MP has agreed to address the membership at our Annual Budget Breakfast, to be held the Monday morning immediately following the Friday, February 21st Budget Statement. Once again, this year there will be a panel format which has proven to be very popular in the past.

“The panel will be led by moderator Darren Johnston, the CEO of the professional services firm PwC Bermuda, our exclusive sponsors for the event. Mr. Ed Ball Jr., General Secretary of the BPSU, and Mr. Peter Everson, President and CEO of PEConsultants, will join the Minister on the panel, so it should be an extremely interesting and thought provoking session.”

Mr. Viera went on to explain further, “The Moderator will introduce our panelist and each one will have ten minutes to provide the audience with their analysis of the numbers. Our guests will be invited to submit questions in advance and on the morning of the breakfast, and it is expected that the Moderator will then lead a very lively question and answer session.”

PwC Bermuda CEO, Darren Johnston, concluded by noting: "We are pleased to once again be sponsoring the Chamber of Commerce's Annual Budget Breakfast. We welcome the participation on the panel this year of leading economist Peter Everson and BPSU general secretary Ed Ball Jr. As the moderator for this event, I look forward to a lively debate as they share their insights and thoughts on the new Budget and engage in an important conversation on the state of Bermuda's economy.”

The Chamber’s Annual Budget Breakfast will take place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on February 24th, 2014 starting at 8am. The panel discussion will begin at 8:30am. Those wishing to attend should contact Michelle Smith at [email protected].
