Trott & Duncan Limited are delighted to announce that Jerome Lynch QC is joining their firm from Monday 10th February 2014. Founding partner Perry Trott said, “We are very proud to have acquired the services of Jerome Lynch QC, an advocate of great skill and we welcome him to Bermuda. He is here to augment our strong litigation department and allows us to be able to offer a wider range of advocacy skills both here and abroad.”
Mr Lynch was called to the Bar in 1983 and was made one of HM’s Queens Counsel in 2000. He is a Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn and an Honorary Fellow of the University of Central Lancashire. He was head at Charter Chambers, a substantial set based in central London, engaged in a wide range of work both in the UK and Internationally. He enjoys a reputation for being a formidable courtroom advocate both in his searching cross-examination and delivering powerful speeches.
Mr Lynch has been involved in a wide range of cases from civil and criminal asset tracing and money laundering to administrative law issues and regulatory breaches; from cases involving large planning disputes and breaches of statutory duties to advising in inquests and allegations of corporate corruption; from contract killings and terrorism to Royal blackmail and company.
He is no stranger to Bermuda having taken on a number of high profile cases here with considerable success. On previous trips he has contributed to the training and education of the local Bar providing lectures and seminars on advocacy, ethics and case preparation, something he will endeavour to continue.
This is a significant coup for Trott & Duncan who are keen to expand their repertoire of legal services both locally and on the wider international jurisdictions.
Jerome said “Bermuda is a great country, Trott and Duncan are a great firm and I can’t wait to meet the challenge that both offer”.
