Bermuda Tourism Authority today released the dates of the next course in the Blue Flag Ambassador Certification training programme. 

The two and a half week programme focuses on the importance of customer service in the hospitality industry as well as the historical and economic development of Bermuda.  Bermuda cultural customs, flora and fauna, and places of interest are also covered.  Emphasis will also be placed on elements of the National Tourism Plan, including Total Quality Management and the new tourism hubs.

This course is aimed at those in the hospitality industry, particularly those who provide tours and informational services to visitors.  Such persons include taxi drivers, concierge personnel and tour guides, among others. 

The course will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from February 18 until March 4.

The course is free to participants and will be held at the Bermuda College.  Participants can register online at www.profilesofbermuda.bm or by calling Profiles of Bermuda on 292-6997.
