PLP leader Marc Bean unveiled a new look shadow cabinet this morning at the party's Alaska Hall headquarters in Hamilton.

The announcement saw a major shuffle of existing shadow cabinet members as well as the appointment of Lovitta Foggo to a shadow cabinet position for the first time in Mr Bean's tenure.

Mr Bean told a press conference that his party was 'ready to govern' and his new shadow cabinet was "united and committed" to serving the country.

He added: "The team I have unveiled represents the first in a series of announcements that will provide the public with a clear  alternative to the One Bermuda Alliance."

Deputy leader Derrick Burgess will move from the post of shadow Public Works Minister to Shadow Labour Relations Minister.

While PLP stalwart Dennis Lister takes on the role of shadow Minister for Public Works.

And St Davids MP Lovitta Foggo has been assigned the position of shadow Education Minister.

Zane De Silva leaves his post as shadow Health Minister and will assume the role of shadow Tourism Minister.

Meanwhile Wayne Furbert leaves the tourism portfolio to take over the position of shadow Economic Development Minister.

Walter Roban will take on the role of shadow Public Safety Minister.

Shadow Finance Minister David Burt, shadow Community and Cultural Affairs Minister, Michael Weeks and shadow Transport Minister Lawrence Scott will remain in their positions.

While Kim Wilson shifts from the shadow Attorney General post to shadow Health Minister and is replaced by Michael Scott.

Glenn Blakeney moves from the Economic and Social Development portfolio to shadow Environment Minister.

Walton Brown assumes the role of shadow Minister for Immigration and external affairs, while Rolffe Commissiong joins the shadow cabinet as shadow Minister for Human Affairs.
