The three-day Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix hits our roads this weekend.

The competition begins in King’s Square, St. George today at 5:30pm. with the Hill Climb Time Trial.

Racing continues on Saturday with the Road Race that starts and finishes at Southside in St. David’s.

The final stage of the race, the Hamilton Criterion, takes place on Sunday between 9am and 12pm.

Butterfield’s Executive Vice President, Group Capital Markets & Treasury, Curtis Dickinson, said: “The 2014 Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix continues the more-than-20-year tradition of Grand Prix racing in Bermuda and serves to highlight the world-class abilities of our local cyclists. Butterfield is pleased to support this event and endorse the Bermuda Bicycle Association’s efforts in the community.”

Bermuda Bicycle Association President Peter Dunne thanked Butterfield for their support.

“This event would not be possible without the generous support of Butterfield,” he said. “In addition to the financial support, their employees donate their personal time as event marshals and volunteers.”

Bank of Butterfield contribute $10,000 to the event.
