Teen karting sensation Stephen Corrado announced his intentions about claiming double titles this season with a dominating performance.

Corrado, 17, claimed top honours in both the highly competitive TAG Sr. class and the 125 Shifter Class.

The first heat race in the TAG Sr. class was won by David Barbosa with Corrado finishing second and Scott Barnes third.  Corrado then won heat two and three with Barbosa second in both races, Patrick Ingham third in heat two and Scott ‘Skitchy’ Barnes third again in the final heat.

In the Junior Modified Clone class, Xavier Smith dominated, winning two races and finishing second in the other.  Young Zanardi Daley recorded a win in heat race two and was second to Smith in the other two races.  Ryan Burgess finished third in both heat one and two ahead of his sister Lauryn, but it was Lauryn who beat out brother Ryan for third place in the final heat.

In the 125 Shifter Class, Corrado cruised to two wins in heat one and two with Michael Fontenetta finishing second and Jason Smith having a good day with to third place finishes.

Corrado looked set to sweep the day in the shifter class but had to retire early in the final heat due to a loose sprocket, handing Kevin Daley his first win in the Shifter class.

Second in the final heat was Jason Smith and third was Che Smith.

The next race day is scheduled for October 6. n
