Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson praised Bermuda striker Nahki Wells for staying focused during the transfer window.
Wells has shown no signs of being affected by constant talk about his future, bagging seven goals in seven games to start the season in style.
That included his latest against Brentford in a 4-0 win at the weekend in a game that also saw him involved in the game's pivotal moment after getting hacked down by keeper David Button, who was subsequently sent off.
Parkinson told the press after the match: “The transfer window has now passed and we have managed to keep hold of him, which is a credit to the board. It is also a credit to Nahki because not once has he banged on my door wanting to know about any moves or speculation about him. He has just got on with his job. For such a young lad, that is a great credit to him and his family.
"I have dealt with young players before who have been linked with moves away and it can be not easy. Nahki's focus has been top class."
