After weeks of hype and speculation surrounding Bradford City’s Bermuda striker Nahki Wells, transfer deadline day was a quiet affair for the Bantams.
Rumours circulated in the build-up that QPR’s manager Harry Redknapp was lining up a £3m bid for the the 23-year-old.
And then on deadline-day itself, there was also talk of Watford being interested in luring the front man south.
But no bids were forthcoming and Wells, who has been nominated for the Football League LEague One player of the month, will remain at Valley Parade until at least January.
The striker failed to score at the weekend for the first time this season as City drew 1-1 at Stevenage.
Before that game, he became the only Bradford player to ever score in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bermuda’s Reggie Lambe played all but the final three minutes of Toronto FC’s 1-1 draw against New England Revolution.
