Mayho wins IBC criterium
Dominique Mayho was back to his winning ways as he took the IBC Criterium Series race in downtown Hamilton Sunday morning. The Team Madison rider won by a comfortable margin over fellow NatWest Island Games competitor Shannon Lawrence.
Mayho crossed the line in 43:15, 45 seconds ahead of Lawrence. Winners Edge rider Mark Hatherley was third.
Fast Forward’s Earlena Ingham beat teenager Gabriella Arnold by a solid three minutes to take the women’s title. Ingham finished in 21:36. Wenda Roberts was third.
The Adult Men’s B title was won by Anthony Smith followed by Daniel Degiorgio and Kareem Johnson.
Howard Williams took the Adult Men’s C race followed by Alex Godfrey and Andrew Soares.
Matthew Oliviera beat out runner-up Christian Oatley for the Junior A title with Zion Dowling third while Nicholas Pilgrim won the Junior B race. Malik Joell and Senoj Mitchell were second and third respectively.
A larger Junior C field saw Alexander Miller crowned the winner. Eusebio King-Mills was second with Malik third riding well to take third.
