BEST, Bermuda Conservation Services and the Department of Parks are hosting a clean-up effort for Southlands.
During the week of October 21-26, volunteers are being asked to help spruce up the park so the public can see it’s potential.
Twenty to 30 volunteers per day are needed.
At the end of that week, there will be an Open House for the public.
A press statement said the spruce-up will be held on Monday, October 21 to Wednesday, October 23 with the Thursday and Friday being set aside for rain dates.
Cleaning up will run from 12 noon to 5pm each day, with support given to the teams from Conservation Services and Parks, who will be leading the work.
The Open House will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 12 until 4pm followed by a beach party and bonfire from 4pm until 8pm.
To sign up, please contact the BEST office at [email protected] or phone 292-3782.
Individuals from the public as well as companies are welcome to support the spruce-up.
