Under-17 Women’s team praised

The Bermuda Under-17 Women’s team have been lauded by the shadow sports minister Michael  Weeks.

The girls reached the semi-final of the CFU Women’s World Cup qualifiers in Haiti, a campaign that included an excellent win over Trinidad & Tobago. Weeks said in a press release: “Today the PLP joins with Bermudians across the island in congratulating our Lady Gombey Warrior U17 Football team for their inspiring performance at the CFU Women's Regional World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Haiti.  

“They have much to be proud of and conducted themselves in a manner that all Bermudians should acknowledge and encourage. We wish them much success in the future.”
