A St George’s man appeared in court today charged with using his brother’s MasterCard to place $18,000 in bets.

David Robinson, 26 pleaded not guilty to 37 counts of obtaining services by deception between January and March of this year.

Mr Robinson denied dishonestly obtaining services from Seahorses betting shop by using Nathan Robinson’s debit MasterCard when not authorized to do so to place a variety of bets totaling $18,100.

The court heard the defendant is the brother of the complainant.

Magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the matter to December 12 and remanded Mr Robinson in custody.
