Man denies assaulting woman
A Sandy’s man appeared in court this morning charged with assaulting a woman.
Gareth Barrett, 39, pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting Calte Grimes on November 15 in Sandy’s.
No details of the case were given out in court and the matter was adjourned to January 29 for trial.
Mr Barrett was granted $2,000 bail and must stay away from Ms Grimes.
In another matter, Jahmiko Hayward pleaded not guilty to causing $1,250 damage to a motor vehicle, property of Marcella Simons on November 15.
His matter was adjourned to January 31 and he was granted $2,000 bail.
