Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked with a knife yesterday.

The 24-year-old, from Southampton, received treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for his injuries but was later discharged.

The attack took place at 10am on Saturday in the Camp Road area of Warwick.

Police said the man was set upon by another male who was “brandishing a bladed article”.

Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this reported assault is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477,” said a Bermuda Police Service spokesman.

Crash

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a road traffic accident on Thursday.

At about 1pm a car was leaving St John’s Church, Pembroke, when it was in collision with a bus travelling along Marsh Folly Road.

The driver of the car, a 48-year-old woman from Pembroke, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment but later discharged.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles received front end damage.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.”

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Kalvilicia Joell on 295-0011.
