A 31-year-old man appeared in court today charged with a robbery that happened over the weekend.
Gladwin Smith pleaded not guilty to robbing Ernest McQueen on November 10 in Pembroke of an 18k gold chain worth $1,500 and a wallet containing a license, bank cards and $1,700 in cash.
The court heard Mr McQueen was allegedly accosted by a group of men, including the defendant, and as a result, he was robbed of his chain and wallet.
After a bail hearing, Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Smith into custody for two weeks.
