Government cancels scheduled Bermuda Nights finale
The final Bermuda Nights concert event has been cancelled due to “reduced resources”.
The popular free outdoor concert event was held once a month from June until October and featured a host of local musicians, dancers and performers.
The final Bermuda Nights was due to be held on November 23, but has been cancelled by the Department of Tourism.
A spokesman said: “Bermuda Nights was brought back by popular demand on the Tourism Calendar of events as part of the Sizzling Summer activities and entertainment from June to October. Barr’s Bay park was only available once a month for this event this summer, so Bermuda Nights was slated for one event per month between June and November whereas in previous years, the last event would normally have been held in October.
“After internal discussion, the November date was cancelled due to reduced resources.”
