Outback Outlaws on top
The Outback Outlaws battled hard to a 62-35 win over Robin Hood Warriors in basketball’s CellOne Elite City League.
The league, which is based on a draft held at the start of the season, is hotting up nicely in its third week of the campaign.
Outlaws and Robin Hood were tied at 23-23 at half-time but on the back of Graham Robinson’s gamehigh 23 points the Outlaws took a convincing win 62-35.
Nate Holland scored a team high 13 in a losing effort. The Warriors are still trying to find the winning formula and seemed to run out of gas in the second half, scoring only 12 points.
The Outlaws, however, seem determined to stake a legitimate claim to the ECL crown.
The first game of the evening between The Storm and the Trinity Sound Lions saw the Lions forfeit the game.
Saturday night’s games at Somersfield Academy sees Trinity Sound Lions play Fort Knox Panthers at 7:30pm and Flanagan’s play Bluebirds at 8:45pm.
