God is all you need and want him to be

“I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me.

“If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it.

“And if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.” (Hadith Qudsi)

How I love the above Hadith!  It displays that God is to you what you believe and made Him to be. 

Prescription

If you think of God as your saviour and redeemer, that is what He will be to you. 

If you think He is not there for you, then he won’t.

You must have faith if He is to be real to you. Just like going to the doctor. When the doctor gives a diagnosis and a prescription, you believe he has correctly diagnosed your medical problem and the faith in that doctor causes you to follow his instructions as prescribed so that you may be healed.

Well, in essence that is what God is saying — He is all you need Him to be.

First of all you have to know what you want in God — and then rely on Him to manifest your wants. 

If you believe that Allah is enough for you, then He will be.

If you believe and say with all your heart and soul ‘Allah Akbar’ (God is the Greatest) then He will be the greatest to you.

Allah, to me He is the Greatest. I place nothing above Him. God is greatest. 

On this journey called life, God has taken me out of all kinds of twirls and whirls and taken me up hills and down valleys.

God has proven to be time and time again that He is the greatest to me.  When I do as He prescribes; I am immediately on the road and I don’t mean Ord Road, to healing and getting myself together.

So if you think there is no God, then there will be no God.

If you feel you can swagger through this life without a God, good for you — I don’t want to climb Billy Goat Hill alone — no I need God’s help. 

One thing I am sure about and that I have been given the proof of is that God is existing and is well aware of me and mine.

Promise

Alhamdulilah!  Forever I am thankful to Allah, the Almighty, that He has given me the light to see Him; even when it’s as dark as Orange Valley Road.

 “And when your Lord proclaimed: If ye give thanks, I will give you more; but if ye are thankless, lo! My punishment is dire.” Surah Ibrahim 14:7

God’s promise is true — Surah Ibrahim 14:7 attests to that: “Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him.

“My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him.

“When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks.

“Were he to ask (something) of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it.

“I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about (seizing) the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.” Ameen
