BMRC hosts 'intense' endurance motorcycle race

The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club (‘BMRC’) will be hosting its second Two (2) Hour Endurance race this Saturday, March 23, 2013. The first endurance race was an eventful one.

Team Honda Racing consisting of Bruce Degrilla Jr and Keanu Wilson who participated in the Superbike class completed 165 laps taking the lead. Team Fed Up Racing consisting solely of Ryan Resendes took the lead in the Supermini class completing a total of 144 laps.

Both teams taking home a cash prize of 250 dollars as well as bragging rights. Taking second place in the Superbike class was Team Energizer Bunny consisting of Cyril Whitter, III completing a total of 154 laps and the Place Racing team taking second in the Supermini class completing 126 laps, both of which took home a cash prize of 100 dollars. In third place of the Superbike class was Team Green consisting of Edward Daniels and Billy Dunn completing a total of 145 laps and taking home cash prize of 50 dollars. Taking fourth place was Nuff Style Racing completing 68 laps due to engine trouble.

All teams are required to make pit stops in order to recharge and fuel up. All teams are rising to the challenge of completing 200 laps this Saturday, with all kinks worked out this weekends event looks to a promising intense race day.

RACE TO WIN THE CASH PRIZE

There will be two categories in which teams can enter:

• Superminis (Under 125cc)

• Superbikes (GP125, Formula Extreme, Superbike 600)

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Rider Fees: $10 One Day Membership or $80 Annual Membership

Team Entry Fee: $100 Per Team

Registration Deadline: 2PM on Saturday, February 23, 2013
