A stash of misprinted and void Spring Break pass cards offering students special rates and discounts were recently found discarded in Hamilton.
Genuine passes allow college students free ferry and bus services over the spring break, free food and drink offers at day time events and discounts on attractions as well as entry to social events around the island.
The cards were accidentally misprinted and later found littering the sidealk on Burnaby Street. The public should be aware that the genuine cards are either plastic or laminated and are only available from the Department of Tourism or Spring Break coordinator Andrew Kirkpatrick.
The Bermuda Department of Tourism, which launched the Spring Break initiative, told the Bermuda Sun: “There is no evidence that any of the [discarded] cards were used for any of the Spring Break events and there have been no reports of any third parties attempting to sell the cards.”
Spring Break runs until Friday with just a few events left including a boat cruise, a Dark n Stormy Night at Cairo, a pool party and a Pajama Pub Crawl.
