Man arrested on suspicion of impaired driving

Around 3:10am on Saturday, March 9th police officers on mobile patrol along Front Street in the City of Hamilton encountered a car being driven erratically through the area. The vehicle was caused to stop and the driver, a 46 year old Paget man, appeared to be intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Weekend police activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested five people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues. Officers also arrested 13 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
