Health plan is on hold

The National Health Plan appears to be in limbo after stakeholders were informed it had been ‘put on hold’ via e-mail.

The message stated: “This e-mail is to advise you that the National Health Plan is on hold as a Government policy objective.

“However, as the issues the country faces remain the same, the work done in preparing the NHP will be an extremely valuable resource for the Government as new policy initiatives are brought forward. 

“Likewise, the work done by the Task Groups, and their reports, can be used as a base to build upon.”

The e-mail ends with; “The Ministry of Health and seniors greatly appreciates all the time and work you have contributed to this initiative since its inception, and a formal communication will follow shortly.”
