The programme takes place at Berkeley Institute Gym every Saturday starting on March 2 and finishing on March 30.

The sessions will run as follows:

- Five-year-olds: 2pm-3pm.

- Six-seven year-olds: 3.15pm-4.15pm.

During the session, the players will be introduced to the basics of cricket with the emphasis on having fun.

Coaches will work with the players on learning the basics skills of catching, bowling and batting with the aim of playing a game in the last session.

On the last day parents and their children will participate in a parent/child game.

President of the BCB, Lloyd Fray said in a press release: “On behalf of the BCB I thank the continued support of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd who share our strong focus of bettering the lives of Bermudas youth through sports in a safe and fun environment.

“This sponsorship is extremely important because it allows us to offer the Pee Wee Program FREE of charge making it accessible to all. Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. also support the BCB Eight and Under Cricket League which runs April through June which takes the six and seven year olds who have graduated from the Pee Wee Cricket Programme.

“The emphasis of ‘Have-a-go’ Cricket is on participation and enjoyment and we encourage all our young Bermudians to register to take part.
