Simons cooking on gas after final success
Tariq Simons has won his first junior tennis tournament in Jamaica.
Simons, the son of Bermudian photographer Ras Mykkal, defeated Richard Barnett in the Boys 12 and Under division of the Gas Pro Junior Tournament played at the Liguanea Club in Kingston. Simons won 6-4, 6-3.
Last year Barnett won the Boys 10 and Under title at the same tournament.
It was the second tournament Simons played in and his victory earned his family the prize of 100lbs of cooking gas.
