Junior teams announced for key international tournaments
The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association also announced the squad that will compete in the World Tennis Under-14 Championship for the Caribbean region.
Coolrdige Place, BLTA president, said: “We are very proud to have them represent Bermuda.”
Jerome Bradshaw and Tara Lambert will coach the Junior Davis and Fed Cup teams, which is an under-16 competition.
Bradshaw said Bermuda’s team “is at the higher end of the age group so we’re hoping they will be putting themselves forward in a good position.”
He added this was the pre-qualifier for the North American region.
The squad includes Courtland Boyle, William Boyle, William Way, Taylor McHarg and Eva Frazzoni.
That tournament will take place March 16 to 24 in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Steve Bean and Jackie Lambert will coach the Under-14 team.
Tyler Smith and Chris Rego made names for themselves in this tournament as they led Bermuda to victory in back-to-back years.
The team consists of Luke Attride-Stirling, Benjamin Lines, Evan Heyliger, Kaylah Min and Lauren Way.
The Under-14 tournament will take place March 9 to 16 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
