A 40-year-old man who admitted threatening his child’s mother was today fined.
Kenneth Williams of Southampton got into an argument with his son’s mother, Teresa Santos on June 26 in Pembroke.
The court heard officers were on duty on Reid Street when they saw Williams shouting at Ms Santos.
He said: “I will knock your head off your shoulders”.
When they approached the pair, Ms Santos said she felt “threatened” by the defendant’s behaviour and said she wanted to make a complainant.
Williams was arrested and admitted the offence.
Addressing the court, Williams said that he had a problem with Ms Santos' boyfriend
He said, “I don’t want that around my son. She said she doesn’t care.
“That’s not right and I said I would knock her head off her shoulders.”
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner told Williams not to bring his son into the situation and said: “You shouldn’t be behaving this way”.
Williams was given a $500 fine.
