Nahki Wells was honoured with a special presentation at half-time during Bermuda's defeat to England C at the National Sports Centre on Tuesday night.
Wells is back on the island after a sensational season for Bradford City where he scored 26 goals and became the first Bermudian to score at Wembley during their play-off final win, which earned them promotion to League One.
Striker Wells, who is reportedly a transfer target of Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, was presented with an engraved silver plate to recognize his historic achievements to date.
Before the game, BFA spokesman Cal Blankendal said: “Nahki created history by being the first Bermudian to score at Wembley.
“Normally there’s a trend we do everything posthumously. We’re trying to follow a new trend and say you’ve done something now, let’s recognize you now.”
