Bermuda had four top 10 performances at the Caribbean Junior Cycling Championships in Aruba on Saturday morning.
Gabby Arnold finished fifth and Kamryn Minors in sixth in the girls time trial over a 9k course.
In the Boys 17/18 age group, Deshi Smith finished ninth over the 18k course in 30:51. Nathaniel Hartwig barely missed out on cracking the top ten with an 11th place showing in 31:51.
In the 15/16 boys category, Justin Ferreira completed his 12 kilometer distance in 24:40 for fitth place with Shomari Steede in 11th in a time of 27:58.
Bermuda Bicycle Association president Peter Dunne said The Junior Caribbean Cycling Road race Championships will “be contested on a rolling course where once again the prevailing strong winds will be a major factor in splitting the race”.
Bermuda will be represented by all six competitors from the time trial along with Nico Barclay in the boys 17/18 category
