Seven honoured for maths

Bermuda’s brightest maths students were presented cheques by BELCO at their respective schools’ awards ceremonies.

The award recipients are: David Simmons, Berkeley Institute; Connie Campbell, Bermuda High School; Deidra Ferguson, Bermuda Institute; Daniel Walker, CedarBridge Academy; Peter Sousa, Mount Saint Agnes Academy; Xiaoyu Sun, Saltus Grammar School; and Owen Siese, Warwick Academy.

Seniors with the highest cumulative average in mathematics for the entire four years in high school receive the BELCO Maths Award, each receiving a $750 cheque, as they move on to university.

In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, Orbis SICAV announced that its board of directors has, with effect from July 1, 2013, appointed Orbis Investment Management (Luxembourg) S.A. as the designated management company of Orbis SICAV. 

LOM

LOM Equity Growth Fund, a segregated account of the LOM Funds SAC Ltd., announced that the management fee payable to LOM Asset Management Limited has been increased to 2.0% from 1.5%, effective July 1, 2013. Through its ‘Spirit for Life, Caring Together” corporate responsibility programme, Bacardi employees donated their time to work at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.

In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, Cambridge Energy Group Limited announced that CEGL will be hosting a Shareholder/Investor Conference on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Princess Victoria Room at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. The conference will start at 4:30pm Bermuda Time.

Aspen Insurance, the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed of Zac Clammer as executive vice president, chief management liability underwriting officer. 

Mr Clammer will oversee both the US and Bermuda Management Liability operations.
