Richard Zuill rolled a record-setting 792 scratch series with games of 265, 264 and 263.

His big series helped Marlins close the gap on first place.

Mackerel suffered a setback in their drive to win the Fishbowl League title when Flying Fish defeated them 3-1 at Warwick Lanes last Friday. The loss saw their lead cut to four games over Marlins.

Besides Zuill's fantastic three-game set, other high 200s were rolled by Joshua Bento (253), Gladwin Harvey (248)) and Lucky Pitcher (248). Albert Bothelho's 215 was the high score for a Division 2 man while Patrice Tucker topped all women with a 211.

Yvonne Joseph (188) and Sandra Ford (187) had the second and third high games by a woman.

Zuill took high handicap series honours with a 798 with Bento (704) also topping the 700 mark. Nelson Arruda was the top Division 2 man with a 637.

Tucker's 611 handicap series edged Donna Boyle by one pin while Rebekah Darrell rolled a 605.

Commercial Bowling League

BTC dialed up a shutout victory over Spinners to move into first place after Double Trouble was blanked by the Royal Gazette,

Chris Leverock continued his fantastic season with a 257 game and 702 scratch and handicap series. John Adams 9214) and Malcolm Woodley (213) also made the honours' list.

Nicole Pearman had the high game for a woman with a 197 with Desirae Jones (187) and Zina Jones (185) having the next two best scores.

Pearman also had the high handicap series with a 651 with Sharon Gibson second at 638. Lynne Cann was third with a 624.

Wayne Raynor's 630 was good enough to have the second high series for a man while Keith Lapsley was third with a 590.

Barritt's League

Pin Raiders pulled off an upset when they downed league leaders Pembroke Jrs 19 to 11. The victory helped them keep pace with second place P.H. Club.

A pair of Anthonys led the league high games' list with Anthony Smith rolling a 244 and Anthony Zuill right behind him with a 225. LeVinc Samuels rounded out the top three with a 219.

Dennis Trott had the high series with a 607 with Zuill second at 573 and Damien Matthews third at 568.

Robert Dill missed out on a perfect game as he rolled a 279. The lanes were in good form as several bowlers easily topped the 200 mark. Vernon Daniels (258), Carl Reid (245), Philip Francis (245) and David Maycock (245) had the other top games by men.

Carla Whitehurst's 221 was good enough to lead the women with Pat Price (210) and Laura Simons (208) also besting the 200 barrier.

Maycock had the high series with a 715 with Dill right behind him at 688. Reid was third with a 662. Whitehurst led the women again, this time with a 579. Josie Richardson (533) was second and Juanita Darrell (532) was third.
