Young grabs four wickets and smashes half century
Port Royal v Somerset
Lazano Darrell scored 34 not out to lead Port Royal Panthers to a four-wicket win over Somerset.
Somerset made 69 in their allotted overs before Port Royal knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets.
Warwick Reds v BHS
Chare Smith top scored with 23 for Warwick Reds as they beat the BHS girls by 59 runs.
Jacobi Butterfield also scored 15 as Warwick made 79 for 4 in their 20 overs.
Isiah Taylor then took 2 for 0 as BHS were bowled out for 20.
Megan Knight was top score for BHS with 3.
Flatts v Saltus Blues
Aaron Burgess and Zion Smith both scored 30 as Flatts beat Saltus Blue by 89 runs.
Rory Crofts also made 26 as Flatts amassed 124 for 4 in their 19 overs.
Burgess then took 1 for 1 as Saltus were bowled out for 35.
Under-13
Warwick Reds v Flatts
Young star Delray Rawlins scored 46 as Warwick Reds successfully chased down 115 to beat Flatts by seven wickets.
The nine-year-old led the batting for Warwick as they knocked off the target with an over to spare.
D. Chase (20) and P. Burgess (32) had starred for Flatts as they made 115 for 4 in their 20 overs.
But Rawlins, with a little help from Dakkari Steede (22) and Donte Brangman (22 not out) excelled for Warwick in their reply.
Saltus v Warwick Whites
Ian Simmons took five wickets as Saltus and Warwick Whites played out a dramatic tie.
Simmons claimed amazing figures of five for two in 3.2 overs as Saltus bowled Warwick out for 35.
They then got a taste of their own medicine as ball continued to dominate bat with A. Williams claiming 3 for 7 as Saltus were bowled out for an identical score.
St. George's v Warwick Reds
Onias Bascome took three wickets and scored 14 runs to help St. George's to a three-wicket win over Warwick Reds by three wickets.
Chikosi Smith was the top scorer with 20 as Warwick made 81 for 5 in their 20 overs.
Then Charlie Marshall jnr scored 24 and Lateef Trott 21 as the east enders made their target for the loss of seven wickets. Robyn Smith with 3 for 9 was top bowler for Warwick Reds, in their second game of the week.
Somerset v Western Stars
Somerset beat Western Stars by 28 runs, thanks largely to an impressive knock of 38 from J Richardson.
J. Gilbert also made 16 not out as Somerset made 112 for 3 in their 20 overs.
D. Eve and T. Albouy, with 24 and 29, were the top scorers for Western Stars as they made 84 in their reply.
Under-16
CedarBridge v St. David's
Makai Young scored 58 and then took four wickets to inspire league leaders CedarBridge Academy to a narrow 5-run win over St. David's.
Young, with support from Jermiane Usher (23) and Donavon Simmons (23), piled on the runs as the Wildcats made 160 in their 30 overs. Shea Pitcher jnr with 3 for 24 was the top bowler for St David's.
Then opener C. Richardson smashed 107 for St. David's. But he got no support from his fellow batsmen, with only S Robinson (12) reaching double figures as they fell just short of their target on 155 for 9 in 30 overs.
Cleveland v Flatts
Cleveland were awarded a default victory over Flatts who failed to show for their encounter.[[In-content Ad]]
