X-rated day for Snipers

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28: Zone Team went to the top of the Perfect Storm League after dousing the Blue Lanterns 14 to 7. Pin Snipers dropped from first to third after losing to X Em Out 13 to 7.

Terry Gibbons impressed with a 244 game and 647 series to lead both categories. Gregory White tied for the high game with a 244.

Elliott Douglas used his 235 game to roll into a 633 series. Leon Albouy had the third high series with a 588.

Carolyn Welch had a 205 and 202 games and 574 series to lead all the women. Laurie Simons rolled a 184 game, which she built into a 532 series. Shelita White had a 467 series.

Scores: BPS Blue Lanterns 6, Zone Team 14; X Em Out 13, Pin Snipers 7; Yea’ Right 15, 10 Pins Down 5; Power Play 7, Strikers 13; Two Flags 4, Yeah 4 Us 16.

Super Stars remained in first place after beating Double Trouble 2.5 to 1.5.

Tine Sims had the women’s high scratch game with a 212 followed by Corinne Durrant (188) and Sharon Gibson (174).

McQuinn Burch was the top man with a 236 scratch, which bettered Aesop Smith (214) and Billy Glasford (213) for top honours.

Johnnie-Mae Wilkinson had the top handicap series with a 629 with Durrant eight pins behind her. Sonia Holder was the third high woman with a 612.

Burch had a 627 to lead all the men followed by Glasford (620) and Russ Ford Jr (618).
