Wedding planners band together to maintain standards

WEDNESDAY, APR. 4: The island’s wedding planners have formed their own association to bolster professional standards.

The Bermuda Association of Wedding Planners was officially launched last week at Elbow Beach.

The association has been established to ensure wedding parties can have confidence in the company they choose. Last Friday the group’s members met with Acting Director of Tourism Stacey Evans and outlined their goals.

Claire-Anne Raynor, the association’s spokes-woman, said: “We are committed to advancing the wedding planning industry as a self-regulated group and extending membership to vendors of utmost integrity.”
